How to Calculate Percentages
Percentages are everywhere — discounts, tips, grades, taxes, interest rates, and growth metrics. Our free percentage calculator handles five common percentage operations so you never have to do the mental math.
The word "percent" means "per hundred." So 25% means 25 out of every 100, or 0.25 as a decimal. To convert a percentage to a decimal, divide by 100. To convert a decimal to a percentage, multiply by 100.
